Brann head into the Norwegian Cup round of 64 away to Os on Wednesday, seeking to halt a run of two consecutive league defeats. The match at Os Stadium kicks off at 6 PM local time.

Two straight losses

The Bergen side are coming off a 2-0 away loss to Start last weekend, following a 2-1 home defeat to Lillestrøm the week before. These results have kept Brann in eighth place in the Eliteserien, with 26 points from 20 games. They trail league leaders Bodø/Glimt by 24 points ahead of hosting them this Sunday.

Injury issues persist

Manager Eirik Horneland once again has to plan without several key players. Midfielders Kjartan Mar Kjartansson and Sakarias Opsahl are out, along with forward Sævar Atli Magnússon. Opsahl has a foot injury and is expected back in two weeks, while the other two are set for a longer absence. The updated injury list is on our injuries page.

Last starting lineup

In the recent league loss to Start, Brann fielded Mathias Dyngeland in goal. The defense consisted of Leandro Cornic, Fredrik Knudsen, Thore Pedersen and Jonas Soltvedt. The midfield featured Japhet Sørensen, Bård Finne, Niklas Jensen Wassberg and Kristian Ingason, with Ulrik Mathisen and Niklas Castro up front. Brann's top scorer this season is Niklas Holm with six goals.

The aim for Brann is to progress in the cup and carry some positivity into the key league match against Bodø/Glimt on Sunday. The team's position and statistics can be followed on our standings page.
