Felix Horn Myhre Speaks Out
West Bromwich Albion are reportedly interested in signing SK Brann midfielder Felix Horn Myhre for the upcoming transfer window. The Baggies, currently competing in the Championship, have been looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the season opener.
Myhre, who has been linked with a move due to his impressive performances and potential move to the top flight, recently addressed his future during Brann's 3-1 Conference League second-round qualifying victory over Universitatea Cluj. According to VGTV, LaLiga side Elche have made an offer of around £2.3 million for Myhre.
In response, Myhre stated: 'It’s tempting a bit, I have to admit. I don’t know if the club thinks the offer is high enough. I feel very comfortable at Brann.' This indicates that while he acknowledges the allure of moving to Spain, his preference remains with Brann for now.
West Brom's Transfer Needs
West Brom are also considering other moves this summer. They have already bolstered their squad by signing Jimmy-Jay Morgan and Barney Stewart from Chelsea and Falkirk respectively. Additionally, Matt Ingram has joined on goalkeeping duties, while Conor Townsend returned on a free transfer and Nolan Galves arrived from Rodez AF.
However, the Baggies still need to address several areas of their team. Central midfield is one such area where they could use more depth, with James Morrison looking for reinforcements. Myhre would be an excellent addition if he were to move to West Brom, but they will face competition from Elche and other potential suitors.
Another pressing area for West Brom seems to be out wide, as the squad is currently thin in this department beyond Mikey Johnston. Harry Whitwell has played on the right during pre-season but may make a loan move depending on the window's outcome. A striker would also be beneficial, and there are several transfer opportunities that could strengthen the team before the end of the summer.
