Brann is looking for a new head coach after Freyr Alexandersson left. Azar Karadas is one of the candidates who is being mentioned as a possible successor. Karadas has previously been coach for Brann 2 and has also been assistant coach for Bob Bradley in Stabæk. He has also been head coach for IK Start, where he took the club back to Eliteserien in his second season. Karadas has also been a player for Brann in three periods and has 232 games for the club. He is one of the candidates who is being mentioned as a possible successor after Freyr Alexandersson. Other candidates who are being mentioned are Eirik Horneland, Hassan El-Fakiri and Erik Huseklepp. Horneland and El-Fakiri left Brann to join Saint-Étienne after the 2024 season, while Huseklepp has been an expert for TV 2 since he left Brann in the winter of 2025. Amund Skiri from KBK and Hans Erik Ødegaard from LSK are also candidates who are being mentioned. Skiri has been coach for Kristiansund since 2023 and has promoted the team from Obos-ligaen. Ødegaard is a coach who stands for a playing style that would have suited Brann and Bergen perfectly.
