Brann's contribution to international football is evident this autumn. Several players from the club have been called up to national team camps for Iceland and Norway's various age groups.
Kristall Mani Ingason is part of the Iceland senior squad for their Nations League matches., er med i den islandske landslagstroppen til deres kamper i Nations League, said Ingason. Brann players at U21 level
At U21 level, Brann have representatives for both nations. Niklas Jensen Wassberg is Brann's representative in the squad, said Wassberg about his place in Norway's U21 team. For Iceland, Eggert Aron Gudmundsson and Kjartan Kjartansson have been selected. The Icelandic U21 sides play France and Switzerland in Laugardal on September 25 and 29, before finishing away to the Faroe Islands on October 6.
Younger age groups
Andreas Wilhelmsen has been called up to Norway's G17 squad for training and friendly matches in Marbella. The team faces the Netherlands on September 30, the USA on October 3, and Ireland on October 6. Adrian Konglevoll Thomsen, Torjus Østervold Mellingen and Brage Haugen are all in Norway's G16 squad for the Istria Youth Cup in Croatia from September 28 to October 7. The tournament includes teams like Italy, South Korea and Croatia. Morten Landquist and Oliver Sandal Dalsøren are called up to Norway's G15 squad for a double-header against Sweden in Sarpsborg and Fredrikstad.
The call-ups come as Brann themselves sit eighth in the Eliteserien with 26 points. The team has a key fixture coming up against league leaders Bodø/Glimt at home on Sunday. The last match before the international break ended in a 2-0 defeat to Start.
