Eirik Horneland is a Norwegian football coach who has previously been coach for Brann. He has also been coach for other clubs, but Brann is the club he has the strongest ties to.
What does this mean for Brann?
Brann has been without a coach since May, after former coach Freyr Alexandersson lost his job. The club currently has 56 points and is in 4th place in the Eliteserien, 15 points behind leaders Viking.

Brann's next match is against Bodo/Glimt at home on September 20. The club has lost its last five matches and is having a weak season so far. But with a new coach, Brann may be able to turn the season around and compete for a top spot in the Eliteserien.
